They might be strong competitors in the Bhojpuri film industry, vying for top honours as singer-hero, but the trio of Manoj Tiwari, Ravi Kishan and Dinesh Lal Yadav 'Nirahua' will now be seen sharing the treasury benches in the Lok Sabha as members of the same political party BJP.

Though Tiwari who represents North-East Delhi, and Gorakhpur MP Kishan are already popular faces in the corridors of power, Nirahua is the latest to make his entry by winning Azamgarh Lok Sabha bypoll, the results of which were announced on Sunday.

The three stars of the Bhojpuri film industry had worked together in the movie "Ganga Jamuna Saraswati" released in 2013.

Though there might be other factors also for Nirahua winning the Azamgarh seat, his direct attack in his now popular style among the masses because of his several outings in the Bhojpuri cinema with “Akhilesh hue farar…Nirahua datal rahe (Akhilesh is absconding, Nirahua is digging his heels in”) helped him get prompt reaction during his campaign trail.

Nirahua, who got a pan India identity thanks to his stint in the reality show 'Bigg Boss 6', helped the ruling BJP not only in winning popular support but also cut into the base of the Samajwadi Party's core Yadav vote bank.

Knowing well the support because of his background that he got, Nirahua took to Twitter to thank his two colleagues Kishan and Tiwari, terming both as "bade bhaiya' (big brother).

"Honorable MP Gorakhpur and Bhojpuri cinema's superstar bade bhaiya @ravikishannji, I express my heartfelt gratitude to your trust and blessings. I promise you that I will live up to the expectations of the respected people of Azamgarh," he said through his official 'Nirahua Hindustani' account.

He also made a similar tweet thanking Tiwari for his blessings.

From the same seat, Nirahua had lost to SP supremo Akhilesh Yadav in 2019 Lok Sabha polls.

After winning by over 8,000 votes, the actor-singer tweeted, “People's victory! You have done wonders to the people of Azamgarh. This is your victory. From the day of announcement of the bypoll dates, the way you all have showered love, support and blessings to the BJP this is its victory.

"This victory is dedicated to your trust and the hard work of Godlike workers,” Nirahua said.  "Nirahua Hindustani" is also a popular Bhojpuri film franchise with three sequels so far.

He is among the most successful Bhojpuri actors, with successive five box office hits released in 2015. He also owns the production house Nirahua Entertainment Pvt Ltd.

Speaking on the success of Bhojpuri actors in the electoral arena, Ravi Kishan said, "Bhojpuri samaj consists of some 25 crore people and also contributes to electing PM of the country."

On the recent back-to-back success of stars like him, Kishann said that all like him are connected with the masses and come from humble backgrounds and thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi for recognising them.

"Other parties have, however, not paid heed to the Bhojpuri actors," Kishan lamented.

Kishan also recalled how the three had shared the screen in the movie "Ganga Jamuna Saraswati".

Political analyst Pervez Ahmed said that the reason behind BJP reposing faith in Bhojpuri stars in recent times is primarily the sizeable population of Bhojpuri speaking people who are seeing those conversing in their own language also as their representatives.

BIS issues performance standards for Electric Vehicle (EV) batteries

The Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) has come out with performance standards for electric vehicle batteries in order to ensure the safety of consumers, a senior consumer affairs ministry official said on Thursday.

BIS, the national standards-setting body that functions under the consumer affairs ministry, has published the "performance standards for electronic vehicle batteries", the official said.

The standard "IS 17855: 2022" has been formulated for lithium-ion traction battery packs and systems of electrically-propelled road vehicles and it has been harmonized with ISO 12405-4: 2018, the official added.

According to the official, the new EV batteries' standard incorporates the test procedure for the basic characteristic of performance, reliability and electrical functionality for the battery packs and system for either high power or high energy application.

This standard is formulated considering real-life scenarios for an electric vehicle such as vehicle in parking (battery is not used for an extended period of time), the battery system is being shipped (stored), operating battery at low and high temperature etc., accordingly various tests are incorporated in this standard.

Electric vehicles operate on an electric motor and rechargeable batteries. Over the past decade, electric vehicles have grown in terms of visibility and availability in the market. Most electric vehicles use lithium-ion batteries because of their high power-to-weight ratio.

Considering the safety aspect of batteries for electronic vehicles, the BIS is in the process of publishing two more standards related to batteries for various passenger and goods carrying vehicles (L, M and N categories),  the official said.

On the back of his recent exploits, veteran Dinesh Karthik jumped a massive 108 spots to 87th on the latest ICC T20 rankings for batters, even as young opener Ishan Kishan broke into the top 10.

Kishan finished the series with two half centuries against South Africa and was the leading run scorer with 206 runs at an average of 41. That form catapulted the left-hander up one spot to sixth on the latest T20 rankings for batters.

Karthik has been in excellent form since the IPL-15 and had a few blazing knocks in the T20 series against South Africa.

Pakistan skipper Babar Azam still holds the top spot on the T20 batting rankings and Kishan is the only Indian player rated inside the top 10.

Yuzvendra Chahal was the biggest mover on the T20 rankings for bowlers with the India spinner jumping three places to 23rd following his six wickets during the South Africa series.

मुंबई. नेतृत्व के प्रति प्रतिबद्ध काडरों की पार्टी होने के बावजूद, शिवसेना पदाधिकारियों की ओर से विद्रोहों को लेकर सुरक्षित नहीं रही है और पार्टी ने चार मौकों पर अपने प्रमुख पदाधिकारियों की ओर से बगावत का सामना किया है. इन बगावतों में से तीन शिवसेना के ‘करिश्माई संस्थापक’ बाल ठाकरे के समय में हुए हैं. एकनाथ शिंदे पार्टी में बगावत करने वाले नवीनतम नेता हैं.

1991 में शिवसेना को पहला बड़ा झटका

वर्ष 1991 में शिवसेना को पहला बड़ा झटका तब लगा था जब पार्टी के अन्य पिछड़ा वर्ग (ओबीसी) चेहरा रहे छगन भुजबल ने पार्टी छोड़ने का फैसला किया था. 

भुजबल ने शिवसेना के 18 विधायकों के साथ पार्टी छोड़ दी थी

भुजबल ने शिवसेना को महाराष्ट्र के कुछ हिस्सों में बड़ी संख्या में सीटें जीतने में मदद की थी, लेकिन उसके बावजूद, बाल ठाकरे ने मनोहर जोशी को विधानसभा में विपक्ष के नेता के रूप में नियुक्त किया था. नागपुर में शीतकालीन सत्र में, भुजबल ने शिवसेना के 18 विधायकों के साथ पार्टी छोड़ दी थी और कांग्रेस को अपना समर्थन देने की घोषणा की थी, जो उस समय राज्य में शासन कर रही थी. हालांकि, 12 बागी विधायक उसी दिन शिवसेना में लौट आए थे. भुजबल और अन्य बागी विधायकों को तत्कालीन विधानसभा अध्यक्ष ने एक अलग समूह के रूप में मान्यता दे दी थी और उन्हें किसी भी कार्रवाई का सामना नहीं करना पड़ा था.

शिवसेना को अगला झटका 2006 में लगा जब उद्धव ठाकरे के चचेरे भाई राज ठाकरे ने पार्टी छोड़ने और अपना खुद का राजनीतिक संगठन – महाराष्ट्र नवनिर्माण सेना (मनसे) बनाने का फैसला किया. राज ठाकरे ने तब कहा था कि उनकी लड़ाई शिवसेना नेतृत्व के साथ नहीं, बल्कि पार्टी नेतृत्व के आसपास के अन्य लोगों के साथ है. वर्ष 2009 में 288 सदस्यीय महाराष्ट्र विधानसभा के चुनाव में मनसे ने 13 सीटें जीती थीं. मुंबई में इसकी संख्या शिवसेना से एक अधिक थी.

Official: Afghanistan earthquake kills at least 920 people

A powerful earthquake struck a rural, mountainous region of eastern Afghanistan near the Pakistani border early Wednesday, killing at least 920 people and injuring 600 others, authorities said. Officials warned the death toll would likely rise.

Information remained scarce on the magnitude 6.1 temblor that damaged buildings in Khost and Paktika provinces. Rescue efforts are likely to be complicated since many international aid agencies left Afghanistan after the Taliban takeover of the country last year and the chaotic withdrawal of the U.S. Military from the longest war in its history.

Neighboring Pakistan's Meteorological Department said the quake's epicenter was in Afghanistan's Paktika province, just near the border and some 50 kilometers (31 miles) southwest of the city of Khost. Such temblors can cause severe damage, particularly in an area like this one where homes and other buildings are poorly constructed and landslides are common.

Footage from Paktika province showed people being carried into helicopters to be airlifted from the area. Others were treated on the ground. One resident could be seen receiving IV fluids while sitting in a plastic chair outside the rubble of his home and still more were sprawled on gurneys. Other images showed residents picking through clay bricks and other rubble from destroyed stone houses.

Afghan emergency official Sharafuddin Muslim gave the death toll in a news conference Wednesday. Earlier, the director-general of state-run Bakhtar news agency, Abdul Wahid Rayan, wrote on Twitter that 90 houses have been destroyed in Paktika and dozens of people are believed trapped under the rubble.

Bilal Karimi, a deputy spokesman for the Taliban government, gave no specific death toll but wrote on Twitter that hundreds of people were killed and injured in the earthquake, which shook four districts in Paktika.

“We urge all aid agencies to send teams to the area immediately to prevent further catastrophe,” he wrote.

In just one district of the neighboring Khost province, the earthquake killed at least 25 people and injured over 95 others, local officials said.

In Kabul, Prime Minister Mohammad Hassan Akhund convened an emergency meeting at the presidential palace to coordinate the relief effort for victims in Paktika and Khost.

The “response is on its way,” the U.N. Resident coordinator in Afghanistan, Ramiz Alakbarov, wrote on Twitter.

A deputy secretary in Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal's office and two sub-divisional magistrates (SDMs) have been suspended by Lt Governor V K Saxena on corruption charges, official sources said on Wednesday.

Prakash Chandra Thakur posted as deputy secretary in the chief minister's office, Vasant Vihar SDM Harshit Jain and Vivek Vihar SDM Devender Sharma were suspended and disciplinary proceedings ordered against them, sources said.

The move reflected LG Saxena's commitment to zero tolerance to corruption and ensuring probity in the functioning of the government, one of the sources said.

The lieutenant governor had on Monday suspended two assistant engineers of the Delhi Development Authority (DDA) after finding lapses in the construction of EWS flats in Kalkaji Extension.

Suspected jihadi rebels kill 40 civilians in Central Mali

Attacks by suspected jihadi rebels in central Mali have killed at least 40 civilians, a local official said Monday.

“We recorded attacks by armed men against three villages: Dialassogou, Segue and Lesago...Investigators are on the spot today to find out exactly what happened,” Moulaye Guindo, the mayor of Bankass, the biggest town near the attacked villages, told The Associated Press.

The attacks have not yet been claimed but bear the hallmarks of armed groups linked to al-Qaida which have been increasing their violence in central Mali.

The Malian government has not yet issued a statement on the attacks.

For several weeks extremist rebels in central Mali have been blocking the road between the northern city of Gao and Mopti in central Mali.

The United Nations peacekeeping mission in Mali issued a statement about the attacks on Twitter saying it is concerned by “attacks against civilians in the Bandiagara region (the area of central Mali) perpetrated by extremist groups. These attacks have reportedly caused casualties and displacement of populations".

In a separate incident, a UN peacekeeper died on Sunday from injuries sustained from an improvised explosive device, the UN mission to Mali said in a statement.

The head of the UN Mission to Mali, El-Ghassim Wane, said that since the beginning of 2022, several attacks have killed UN uniformed peacekeepers.

He said that attacks on peacekeepers can constitute war crimes under international law and reaffirmed the mission's commitment to supporting peace and security in Mali.

Since the beginning of the year, several hundred civilians have died in attacks in central and northern Mali. The attacks are blamed on jihadi rebels as well as the Malian army, according to a report by the human rights division of the UN mission in Mali, known as MINUSMA.

The UN peacekeeping mission in Mali began in 2013, after France led a military intervention to oust extremist rebels who had taken over cities and major towns in northern Mali the year before.

The mission now has about roughly 12,000 troops in Mali and an additional 2,000 police and other officers. More than 270 peacekeepers have died in Mali, making it the UN's deadliest peacekeeping mission, say officials.

The BJP parliamentary board on Tuesday named Draupadi Murmu, a tribal leader of the party from Odisha, as the ruling NDA's candidate for the presidential election.

BJP president J P Nadda  announced her name at a press conference following a meeting of the party top brass.

Murmu (64), a former Jharkhand governor, will be the first tribal woman to occupy the top constitutional post if she is elected, a strong possibility as numbers are stacked in the favour of the BJP-led NDA.

Opposition had earlier announced Yashwant Sinha as its joint candidate for the post. The poll is slated for July 18.

Agnipath protestors set 20 bogies of 2 trains on fire in Bihar

Protests against the Center's 'Agnipath' recruitment scheme intensified in Bihar on Friday as angry aspirants set fire to at least 20 bogies of the New Delhi-Bhagalpur Vikramshila Express and New Delhi-Darbhanga Bihar Sampark Kranti Express at Lakhisarai and Samastipur stations and blocked highways in the state.

The demonstrators blocked highways at several places in Buxar, Bhagalpur and Samastipur and burnt tyres as a mark of protest, officials said.

The protests, which is into its third day in the state, caused massive disruption of railway services at Buxar and Kahalgaon, officials of East Central Railways said.

Jamalpur superintendent of railway, Umer Javed said the protestors set on fire 12 bogies of Vikramshila Express. However, there was no casualty.

Protestors also set eight bogies of Bihar Sampark Kranti on fire at Samastipur railway station demanding scrapping of the Agnipath scheme for recruitment in the Armed Forces, a Railway official said.

An ECR official said around 20 trains were cancelled due to the arson, while many others were  either short-terminated or run on alternate routes.

At Lakhisarai station a large number of protestors lay down on the railway tracks to block the movement of trains. They were dispersed by Railway police with the help of the local police.

Bihar had witnessed large scale protest on Thursday too against the central scheme, under which hiring in the Armed Forces has been for a four-year period followed by compulsory retirement for at least 75 per cent of the personnel, without any pension benefits.

कराची : पाकिस्तान के कराची शहर में एक हिंदू मंदिर में जमकर तोड़फोड़ की गई और देवताओं की मूर्तियों को विखंडित कर दिया गया. यह घटना कराची शहर के कोरंगी इलाके की है, जहां पर उपद्रवियों ने श्री मारी माता मंदिर में देवी-देवताओं की मूर्तियों के साथ तोड़फोड़ की गई. इस घटना की सूचना पाकर मौके पर पहुंचकर पुलिस ने मुआयना करने के बाद मामले की जानकारी हासिल करने के लिए आसपास के लोगों से पूछताछ भी की.

कोरंगी थाना क्षेत्र में माता मंदिर में तोड़फोड़

पाकिस्तान में अल्पसंख्यक हिंदू समुदाय के पूजा स्थलों में तोड़फोड का यह ताजा मामला है. पुलिस ने बताया कि कराची कोरंगी इलाके के श्री मारी माता मंदिर में बुधवार को देवी-देवताओं की मूर्तियों के साथ तोड़फोड़ की गई. माता का मंदिर कोरंगी थानाक्षेत्र के ‘जे' इलाके में स्थित है. घटना की सूचना मिलने के बाद पुलिस मौके पर पहुंची और मंदिर को मुआयना करने के बाद मामले के बारे में पूछताछ की.

हिंदू समुदाय में दहशत, पुलिस तैनात

समाचार पत्र ‘द एक्सप्रेस ट्रिब्यून' की खबर के अनुसार, इस घटना से कराची के हिंदू समुदाय के लोग दहशत में हैं. खासकर कोरंगी इलाके में जहां किसी भी अप्रिय घटना को रोकने के लिए पुलिस को तैनात किया गया है. इलाके में रहने वाले हिंदू संजीव ने समाचार पत्र को बताया कि मोटरसाइकिल पर छह से आठ लोग इलाके में आए और मंदिर पर हमला कर दिया. उन्होंने कहा कि हमें नहीं पता, हमला किसने और क्यों किया.' उन्होंने कहा कि पुलिस से शिकायत दर्ज करने को कहा गया है.

तोड़फोड़ करने के बाद उपद्रवी फरार

कोरंगी के थाना प्रभारी फारूक संजरानी ने कहा कि पांच से छह अज्ञात संदिग्ध मंदिर में दाखिल हो गए और वहां तोड़फोड़ करने के बाद फरार हो गए. उन्होंने बताया कि मंदिर पर हमला करने वाले अज्ञात संदिग्धों के खिलाफ मामला दर्ज किया जा रहा है.

पिछले साल अक्टूबर में भी मंदिर पर हुआ हमला

बता दें कि पाकिस्तान में अल्पसंख्यक हिंदू आबादी के मंदिरों को अक्सर भीड़ द्वारा निशाना बनाया जाता है. अक्टूबर में कोटरी स्थित सिंधु नदी के तट पर स्थित एक ऐतिहासिक मंदिर को अज्ञात लोगों ने कथित तौर पर निशाना बनाया था. इस संबंध में कोटरी थाने में अज्ञात लोगों के खिलाफ मामला दर्ज किया गया है.

पाकिस्तान में 75 लाख हिंदू

आधिकारिक अनुमान के मुताबिक, पाकिस्तान में 75 लाख हिंदू रहते हैं. हालांकि, समुदाय के अनुसार देश में 90 लाख से अधिक हिंदू हैं. पाकिस्तान की अधिकतर हिंदू आबादी सिंध प्रांत में बसी है. वे अक्सर कट्टरपंथियों द्वारा उत्पीड़न की शिकायत करते हैं.

Russia deploys more troops, Claims Progress in East Ukraine

Russia claimed Tuesday it has occupied large swathes of eastern Ukraine after a relentless, weeks-long barrage and the recent deployment of more troops.

Russian Defence Minister Sergei Shoigu said Moscow's forces have “liberated” 97 percent of the Luhansk region.

Russia appears bent on capturing the entire eastern Donbas part of Ukraine, which is made up of the Donetsk and Luhansk regions. That goal appears to be its most immediate ambition in Ukraine.

But while the Kremlin's forces have superior firepower, the Ukrainians defenders — among them the country's most well-trained forces — are entrenched and have shown the capability to counterattack.

Shoigu claimed that Russian forces have seized the residential quarters of Sievierodonetsk and are fighting to take control of an industrial zone on its outskirts and the nearby towns.

Sievierodonetsk, the administrative center of the Luhansk region, has recently been the focus of the Russian offensive. Sievierodonetsk and nearby Lysychansk are the only two Donbas cities holding out against the Russian invasion, which is being helped by local pro-Kremlin forces.

Shoigu added that the Russian troops were pressing their offensive toward the town of Popasna and noted that they have taken control of Lyman and Sviatohirsk and 15 other towns in the region.

Popasna is a town with a pre-war population of 20,000 located about 30 kilometers (nearly 20 miles) south of Sievierodonetsk.

A Ukrainian official said Tuesday that Moscow is deploying troop reinforcements in eastern Ukraine as a Russian artillery barrage aimed to grind down Ukrainian defences.

Luhansk governor Serhiy Haidai conceded that Russian forces control the industrial outskirts of Sievierodonetsk, one of two cities in the Luhansk region still in Ukrainian hands.

“Toughest street battles continue, with varying degrees of success,” Haidai told The Associated Press. “The situation constantly changes, but the Ukrainians are repelling attacks.”

Moscow's strategy has suffered numerous setbacks, however, since Russia invaded Ukraine on Feb. 24, including a failed attempt to take Kyiv, the capital.

Moscow's forces also kept up an artillery barrage of Lysychansk, a city close to Sievierodonetsk which is almost fully controlled by Russian troops.

Haidai said Russian troops shelled a local market, a school and a college building, destroying the latter. Three wounded people were sent to hospitals in other parts of Ukraine, he said.

“A total destruction of the city is underway, Russian shelling has intensified significantly over the past 24 hours. Russians are using scorched earth tactics,” Haidai said.

In all, Ukrainian forces had repelled 10 Russian attacks over the previous 24 hours, according to Haidai. His report couldn't be independently verified.

Ukraine is receiving weapons and ammunition from the West to help fend off relentless Russian attacks. That assistance has become a target for Russian artillery and warplanes.

Russia claimed Tuesday its forces took out two artillery systems given by the United States and a howitzer supplied by Norway.

Maj. Gen. Igor Konashenkov said the Russian artillery barrage destroyed other Ukrainian equipment in the country's east while the Russian air force hit Ukrainian troops and equipment concentrations and artillery positions.

Konashenkov's claims couldn't be independently confirmed.

In Kyiv, meanwhile, autopsies were planned on dozens of Ukrainian fighters killed at the Azovstal steelworks.

The bodies were returned to Ukraine by the Russian occupiers of the fortress-like plant in the destroyed city of Mariupol, where their last-ditch stand became a symbol of resistance against Moscow's invasion.

The Azov Regiment was among the Ukrainian units that defended the steelworks for nearly three months before surrendering in May under relentless Russian attacks from the ground, sea and air.

Udaipur News : गैस की टंकी फटने से चार घरों में लगी आग, लाखों का नुकसान

भगवान प्रजापत, उदयपुर : शहर के बड़गांव के समीप गैस की टंकी फटने से चार मकानों में आग लग गई। तेज गर्मी के चलते कुछ ही देर में आग ने विकराल रूप धारण कर लिया। इससे चारों मकान पूरी तरह से जलकर राख हो गए। क्षेत्रवासियों ने हादसे की सूचना अग्निशमन विभाग को दी। चार दमकलों ने मौके पर पहुंचकर करीब 1 घंटे की कड़ी मशक्कत के बाद आग पर काबू पाया। इस दुर्घटना में मकानों के साथ एक बाइक भी जलकर राख हो गई।

गैस टंकी को बाहर निकालने से टला हादसा

गनीमत रही कि किसी प्रकार की कोई जन हानि नहीं हुई। एक व्यक्ति ने जलती हुई गैस की टंकी को बाहर निकाल लिया। इससे बड़ा हादसा होने से टल गया। क्षेत्रवासियों ने बताया कि आग तेजी से फैल गई। आसपास के लोगों जब तक काबू पाने कोशिश की, तब तक आग ने चार घरों को अपने आगोश में ले लिया था। इसके बाद दमकल कर्मियों ने आग पर काबू पाया। पुलिस के अनुसार, शार्ट सर्किट होने से आगजनी हुई। सुखेर पुलिस ने बताया कि हादसे के वक्त घरों में कोई नहीं था। इस हादसे में लाखों की संपत्ति के जलने की बात सामने आई।

 Bihar Caste Census : जातिगत जनगणना कराएगी बिहार सरकार, सर्वदलीय बैठक में प्रस्ताव मंजूर

बिहार में जाति आधारित जनगणना राज्य सरकार जल्द शुरू करवायेगी. इसके लिए बुधवार को सर्वदलीय बैठक में आम सहमति बन गयी. जाति आधारित जनगणना के माध्यम से राज्य के सभी जाति और धर्म के प्रत्येक व्यक्ति के बारे में हर तरह की जानकारी इकट्ठा की जायेगी. जाति के साथ उप जाति, निवास स्थान, घर सहित अमीर और गरीब की भी जानकारी जुटाई जायेगी.

नाम 'जाति आधारित जनगणना' होगा

जाति आधारित जनगणना का मकसद राज्य में उपेक्षित वर्गों और व्यक्तियों की पहचान कर उनका विकास करना है. संवाद हाल में दोपहर बाद शाम चार बजे आरंभ होकर दो घंटे तक चली सर्वदलीय बैठक की जानकारी देते मुख्यमंत्री नीतीश कुमार ने कहा कि इसका नाम 'जाति आधारित जनगणना' होगा. मुख्यमंत्री नीतीश कुमार की अध्यक्षता में इस बैठक का आयोजन पटना के 4 देशरत्न मार्ग स्थित 'संवाद' मुख्यमंत्री सचिवालय में किया गया था. सर्वदलीय बैठक में मुख्यमंत्री नीतीश कुमार समेत जदयू, भाजपा, हम, राजद, कांग्रेस, भाकपा, भाकपा माले, माकपा, एआईएमआईएम के 16 प्रतिनिधि शामिल रहे.

राज्य सरकार खर्च करेगी

मुख्यमंत्री नीतीश कुमार ने कहा कि जाति आधारित जनगणना करवाने में राज्य सरकार खर्च करेगी. अब सर्वदलीय बैठक में जाति आधारित जनगणना करवाने की सहमति के बाद इसे कैबिनेट में पेश कर खर्च की जाने वाली राशि की मंजूरी ली जायेगी. साथ ही इसके लिए समय सीमा निर्धारित की जायेगी. इस जनगणना के लिए काम करने वालों को प्रशिक्षण दिया जायेगा.

विधानसभा से दो बार सर्वसम्मति से पास

मुख्यमंत्री ने कहा कि इसे विधानसभा से दो बार सर्वसम्मति से पास किया जा चुका है. इसके बाद सर्वदलीय प्रतिनिधिमंडल ने प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी से मिलकर राष्ट्रीय स्तर पर जाति आधारित जनगणना करवाने का प्रस्ताव रखा था. उस पर पीएम ने कहा था कि इसे राष्ट्रीय स्तर पर नहीं किया जा सकता है, राज्य स्तर पर किया जा सकता है. मुख्यमंत्री ने कहा कि सर्वदलीय बैठक कर जातीय जनगणना का निर्णय पहले ही ले लिया जाता, लेकिन विधान परिषद और स्थानीय निकाय चुनावों की वजह से इसमें विलंब हुआ.

 दलों सहित मीडिया को दी जायेगी जानकारी

जाति आधारित जनगणना के बारे में मुख्यमंत्री ने कहा कि इसे शुरू होने के बाद सब कुछ पब्लिक डोमेन में उपलब्ध होगा. इसे हर कोई देख सकेगा. इसके बारे में समय-समय पर राजनीतिक दलों सहित मीडिया को जानकारी दी जायेगी. मुख्यमंत्री ने कहा कि कैबिनेट से पास होने के बाद जाति आधारित जनगणना करवाने के बारे में पूरी जानकारी के संबंध में विज्ञापन दिया जायेगा. इसका मकसद आम लोगों को जानकारी उपलब्ध करवाना है.

तेजस्वी ने कहा छह महापर्व के दौर में हो जातीय गणना

तेजस्वी यादव ने कहा कि जातीय गणना छठ महापर्व के समय करना चाहिए. यह वह समय होता है, जब अधिकतर बिहारी अपने बिहार स्थित घरों पर पहुंचते हैं. इसलिए जातीय गणना के लिए नवंबर माह उपयुक्त रहेगा. उन्होंने बताया कि यह सुझाव मैंने बुधवार को हुई सर्वदलीय बैठक में दिया है.

भाजपा ने कहा जातियों की गिनती हो

सर्वदलीय बैठक में भाजपा के सदस्यों ने कहा कि जातियों की गणना की जाये, जाति आधरित जनगणना नहीं हो. साथ ही इसमें रोहंगिया और बांग्लादेशी मुसलमानों को शामिल नहीं किया जाए .
